Alam Dania Cottage
This is hands down THE best hotel in all of ubud and in my opinion bali. Here you are greeted with a smile and wonderful habits,styles and amazing surroundings. The staff at Alam Dania Cottage couldnt be any more friendly, constantly checking that everything is well and teaching you about their culture and language. Multiple times a day there are shuttles bringing you to wherever you need. Oftentimes this is to ubuds centre. The drivers are friendly,gunny and over all very good at what they do. The hotel is family run and very honest and enjoyable

Bale Bali Inn
Not too bad in very busy Ubud. Few minutes walk (avoiding the bikes parked on the very narrow footpath) from central and busy Ubud. Rather quiet for the area. Bale Bali Inn pool is available for those hot months. Adequate breakfast to get you going - plenty of places to eat. Outside toilet and shower though private and undercover - a little different.

Desak Putu Putera Cottages
We stayed four nights in the pool villa (family room). Desak Putu Putera Cottages room and bathroom are very spacious and clean. Also the AC is working well. The private pool didn’t look very clean though, so we don't go in which was a bit disappointed. There was a lot of sand at the bottom. Breakfast was good. Lots of choices between Indonesian breakfast, eggs, pancakes and bread. You can also add fruit, croissant, pastry and juice. Also the staff was very friendly

Alam Terrace Cottages
This hotel was amazing! My room was on the corner second floor and I felt like I was in the jungle. I never saw any other guests and nobody could see in my room. The balcony was right in the jungle it was unreal. The breakfast was out of this world those banana pancakes, i dream about them still, sitting in the restaurant and listening to the music with the incense! its a dream! They bring the food up to your balcony as well so you can sit and enjoy your breakfast in your room! The staff at Alam Terrace Cottages is so kind and friendly! They feel like your family!

Amerta Seminyak
Really lovey rooms, awesome pool and cool rooftop to sunbathe on. Perfect location! The shower was big and water pressure was strong! Breakfast was ok and was always served a smile. Amerta Seminyak is a basic but nicely decorated and clean hotel. The staff is friendly and breakfast good. The biggest advantage for me is the location: walking distance to Seminyak square, Kudeta, Mano beachhouse and sea circus.

Ayu Duwur Beji
Ayu Duwar Beji is a lovely family run accommodation with 4-5 rooms surrounding a pool area. Very peaceful location in a small village in the rice paddy area about 15 mins from Ubud. Breakfast was delivered to our balcony each morning and evening meals also available. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We had a motor scooter but they were available to hire. Recommend this as good to get to and from Ubud and traffic not too bad in this area.

Gili One Hotel & Resort
Very helpful honest owner and staff. My daughter got sick and they were very helpful. Lovely place. Welcome drink. Comfy bed. Out of noisey district, but close enough to thr beach front to enjoy everything. Stayed at Gili One Resort for two nights. From start to finish the staff were welcoming and friendly, a nice welcome drink on arrival. The rooms are very clean with a lovely outdoor shower. Food is also good at the restaurant. Also there are bicycles available. Would recommend this to anyone

Ubud Tropical Garden
Ubud Tropical Garden is an lovely place near the center of Ubud. We stayed much longer as planned en we enjoyed it very much. What a great find it was! its brand new,the rooms are beautifully designed, so clean and all furnishings are very high quality! It has all the little extras you could imagine. bottled water, toiletries, even a toothbrush. The pool area is beautiful, over looking the rice paddy field, comfortable pool loungers with towels provided. The staff keep the grounds immaculate and are so friendly and always smiling, happy to help wherever they can!

Villa Capung Mas Ubud
With only 6 villas in the complex there is always a spot by the beautiful pool. Gorgeous room & the best staff that I have had on any trip to Bali. Wonderful value for money & such a quiet but convenient spot in walking distance to everything. Only a 10 min walk to the busy street and Casa Luna (for great coffee) yet in the middle of a rice field at the edge of the valley this villa was perfectly located for us. Lovely places to eat within minutes (Umah Pizza, Japanese sushi) a Minimart for any supplies, Lilly beauty spa for pampering...or just relax around the pool which is perched at the edge of the valley offering gorgeous views.
